Zhejiang Normal University’s First Alumni Family in Africa Inaugurated in Tanzania with Success.

10月24日，浙江师范大学坦桑尼亚“校友之家”揭牌仪式在达累斯萨拉姆大学孔子学院多功能厅举行。“校友之家”的成立，旨在弘扬友谊、分享成就、助力发展。浙江师范大学校党委副书记邵国平出席活动。仪式由达累斯萨拉姆大学孔子学院中方院长张笑贞主持。

On October 24th, the inauguration ceremony of the “Alumni Family” of Zhejiang Normal University （ZJNU Alumni Family ）in Tanzania was held in the Multi-functional Hall of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dar es Salaam （UDSM）. The establishment of the “Alumni Family” aims to promote friendship, share achievements, and contribute to development. Shao Guoping, Vice Chair of the University Affairs Committee of ZJNU, attended the event, and the ceremony was presided over by Zhang Xiaozhen, the Chinese Co-Director of the Confucius Institute at UDSM.

会上，浙江师范大学党委副书记邵国平教授对参加“校友之家”成立仪式的达累斯萨拉姆大学的校领导和坦桑尼亚的优秀校友表达了感谢。他表示成立“校友之家”对母校与坦桑尼亚、乃至非洲各国科教界的交流与合作具有重要意义。为增进中坦、中非友谊，共同构建中非人类命运共同体做出新的更大贡献。

At the event, Professor Shao Guoping, Vice Chair of the University Affairs Committee of ZJNU, expressed gratitude to the leaders of UDSM and the outstanding alumni in Tanzania who attended the inauguration ceremony of the “Alumni Family”. He noted that the establishment of the “Alumni Family” is of great significance for promoting exchange and cooperation in science and education between ZJNU and Tanzania, as well as other African countries. He added that the “Alumni Family” will contribute to enhancing friendship between China and Tanzania and building a community for a shared future for mankind between China and Africa.

浙江师范大学校友会秘书长周红霞教授发表了热情洋溢的讲话，她表示浙江师范大学校友会是一个温暖的大家庭，坦桑尼亚的校友们是这个家庭的重要成员，成立“校友之家”可以为坦桑尼亚校友的交流提供一个重要平台，使校友之间能够便于联系、交流和合作。此外，她感谢了坦桑尼亚校友们对浙江师范大学长期以来的支持，也期望他们能够在各自的领域取得骄人的成绩。

Professor Zhou Hongxia, Secretary-General of Alumni Association of ZJNU, delivered an enthusiastic speech. She emphasized that the Alumni Association of ZJNU is a warm and close-knit community, and the Tanzanian alumni play a vital role in this extended family. The establishment of the “Alumni Family” provides a significant platform for the Tanzanian alumni to foster connections, exchange ideas, and collaborate more effortlessly. Professor Zhou also expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support of the Tanzanian alumni to Zhejiang Normal University over time and encouraged them to strive for remarkable achievements in their respective fields.

坦桑尼亚校友会会长、原达累斯萨拉姆大学副校长弗洛伦斯·洛加教授分享了他在浙江师范大学生活和学习中的难忘经历，也讲述了他学成归国后为坦桑尼亚社会发展所做出的努力和贡献。他鼓励各位优秀校友将所学知识与技能应用于坦桑尼亚的社会发展中，为中坦合作交流添砖加瓦。

Professor Florence Luoga, the President of the Tanzania Alumni Association and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of USDM, shared his unforgettable experiences during his time at ZJNU and highlighted his efforts and contributions to the social development of Tanzania after completing his studies. She encouraged all outstanding alumni to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to the social development of Tanzania, thus contributing to the exchange and cooperation between China and Tanzania.

坦桑尼亚校友之家是我校在非洲的首个校友之家。它的成立标志着浙江师范大学与达累斯萨拉姆大学建立了更加紧密的联系，促进了两校教育交流和国际友谊的进一步深化，为中坦、中非友谊、未来合作发展打下了更加坚实的基础，具有里程碑式的意义。

The Tanzanian Alumni Family is the first alumni family established by ZJNU in Africa. Its establishment signifies a closer connection between ZJNU and USDM, promoting further educational exchanges and deepening international friendship. It lays a solid foundation for China-Tanzania and China-Africa friendship, and supports future cooperative development, marking a milestone in this regard.
